Visiting for the First Time?
We want to give you a clear picture of who we are and what to expect when you gather with us.
Welcome
Visiting a church for the first time can feel uncertain. We aim to be straightforward about who we are, how we gather, and what we believe.
Coram Deo is a Reformed Baptist church in the Stanley, NC area seeking to live faithfully before God through His Word and in fellowship with one another.
We are not a large or program-driven church. Our desire is to gather simply as Christ’s people for worship, discipleship, prayer, and fellowship.
What Is a Reformed Baptist Church?
We are a church that seeks to order both our doctrine and life according to the Scriptures.
The term “Reformed Baptist” reflects our commitment to historic biblical Christianity, including the authority of Scripture, salvation by grace through faith in Christ, and the importance of the local church.
We hold to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith as a faithful summary of biblical doctrine.
What Are Your Gatherings Like?
We currently gather each Lord’s Day at 4:00 PM in homes during this season of our church plant as we seek to grow faithfully and steward our resources wisely.
Our gatherings are simple and centered on the Word of God. We preach through books of the Bible verse by verse, pray together, sing together as a congregation, and spend time in fellowship.
We are a family-integrated church, meaning children remain with their families during the gathering.
We also make use of historic creeds, the 1689 Baptist Confession, and the Baptist Catechism to benefit from the faith and wisdom of those who have gone before us.
We typically conclude our time together with a shared meal, allowing opportunity for conversation and fellowship together as a church.
Who Is the Church For?
The church is the gathering of believers in Jesus Christ. Its purpose is to worship God, proclaim His Word, and build up His people.
At the same time, visitors are welcome to attend, listen, and observe. If you are exploring the Christian faith or looking for a church rooted in Scripture, you are welcome to come and hear.
How Do I Attend?
Because we are currently gathering in homes, we ask that visitors contact us before attending.
If you would like to visit, we would be glad to connect with you, answer any questions you may have, and provide the details for our next gathering.
